Making Great Progress For the Kids
Blessings from Loma Linda University
Loma Linda speech therapist speaking Spanish to Brayon who is a student in our program for Autism.
The entire group was able to share lunch together thanks to our community room portable. We even had green grass outside the window!
Thanks to Brenda Barnes’ cooking (see below) lunch for forty was made available for faculty, staff and students .

Concrete and Fingernails
Yes, those are painted nails on the handle of the shovel. These young ladies came to pour a concrete foundation. They are from “El Refugio”, a girls and women’s orphanage located in Chapultepec just a few miles north of the ranch.
Elena fills up another load of concrete as part of the concrete slab pour.
Opening up bags can be messy business. To keep things moving smoothly Kayla is preparing multiple bags.
The tricky thing with concrete is getting it all to set at the same time. That means moving fast and setting up sections while they are all still wet.
Randy Huebert, (on the left) is the director of “El Refugio” posing here with Luis Ángel, Diego’s step-father who will be living in the house.
After Setting up the foundation, El Refugio returned with a volunteer group from Canada to finish the house and soak up some of the Baja sun!
Home sweet home just 250 feet from His Wings Ranch.
Thank You for our Van
Thanks to your donations we were able to purchased a used (and reliable) van for $12,000. It has been so helpful in our work with the kids as now have over 85 kids in the program some needing to be transported to medical appointments. It is also invaluable when it comes to supplying and maintaining a facility with so many staff, buildings, bathrooms and horses.
Did you know that we actually donate and deliver medical supplies to the local Baja social service programs and the hospital in Ensenada?
We do. These boxes, walkers and wheelchairs were donated and delivered to the mayor’s office in Ensenada.
Here is the van in action loaded up with donated baby formula and wheelchairs from our storage room in Chula Vista. It is so comforting to know that of all the challenges we face everyday in taking care of the kids, a broken car is no longer one of them.
Getting Your Tax Receipt for Donations
If you supported His Wings in 2025, a receipt should have arrived in your mailbox. It looks like this.
If you didn’t receive yours, you can get one from your Commission To Every Nation portal here or give me a call or email and I’ll help you. [email protected] or 858 688-4452.
