Loma Linda University Therapists at the Ranch

Loma Linda University brought speech therapy students and physical therapy students to the ranch. Together with our staff, we saw 30 children and gave the parents strategies to treat their little ones. Point Loma, and Northern Arizona universities have also visited the ranch to help equip our team to better implement future treatment.

Therapy is our mainstay. Founder Sue Fasino is a professionally trained and seasoned physical therapist from San Diego with decades of experience before coming to Mexico. She has been providing physical therapy any way she can for the past 20 plus years in Mexico which use to involve setting up therapy mats outdoors in the dirt. Whatever it takes to assist the kids who need it.

After so many years providing outdoor and remote therapy, His Wings Ranch now has indoor facilities for the fist time. We just finished repairing and improving a portable buildings donated from the United States by Horizon Church North County and repaired and improved with the support of Serving Hands International. The therapy building has two large therapy rooms where the kids receive Physical, Occupational, Behavioral and Speech Therapies. The parents are extremely encouraged to feel the love of Jesus being poured out upon their cherished children.

The facilities are beautiful on the inside too! With the updated facilities in place, the Loma Linda students got to work assessing Carla’s gate so that leg braces could be adjusted to correct her posture.

Now kids like Yolanda can receive treatment in a proper facility with Emelia, out of the sun and off of the dirt.
Sometimes physical therapy is combined with special education to motivate kids like Melanie to adopt new movement patterns in our nearby classroom.
Come Visit Us!

We can use your expertise. Visit the ranch with your college or professional group like Loma Linda University, Northern Arizona University and Azusa Pacific Universities. Send down your therapists in training.

We also train physical and occupational therapists at the ranch as an extension of US based physical and occupational therapy programs. Talk to Sue about lodging and logistics.

Interested in Remote Therapy?

Did you know that therapists living in the United States can benefit kids at the ranch while remaining at home in the US? Many remote speech pathologists and occupational therapist from the states have helped our children.
If you are experienced in occupational, behavioral, speech or psychological therapy and are willing to review videos of kid’s behavior, we can use your help.
