His Wings Ranch

Family Assistance

Supplies -Youth Center - Homes

Reyna and her daughters Fernanda and Celia give a special thanks for Serving Hands Ministry for providing blankets just in time for the cold Ensenada nights as well as gifts of pillows and backpacks which are so valuable!

Front Line Ministries provides Christmas gift boxes which are a hit with the kids.

Basic provisions of rice and beans can be enough support to allow Marlinda and her daughter Celeste to make ends meet while their family works to provide more for their kids.

Community Youth Center

Kids need a safe place to play together and parents need to know their kids are safe so that they can work to support them. We created a community youth center to provide both. Kids sing songs and play the guitar at the fire pit. Serving Hands International sponsored the construction of our basketball court and fire pit which serve as a hub of our community center.

Our complete outdoor playground with teeter-totter, bouncing pit, swings and elevated structure is specifically helpful for kids on the autism spectrum with sensory processing needs. A special thank you for the generous donations from the late Emiliano Mazzarella whose significant support resulted in the building of the playground and many of the construction needs on the ranch as well as the purchase of a car for Jonny.

The community center functions as an oasis of hope in an area whose kids would otherwise end up playing in trash piles and abandoned cars.

The playground also has adaptive features allowing Quetzaly to join in the fun with their able bodied peers.

Homes For Families

Vicky looks at her mom Claudia in appreciation and awe as they accept their home built by the folks at Yugo ministries for her and her family. It’s less than 100 yards from His Wings Ranch, setting up Claudia to be able to use the community youth center for her kids while she works.

The change from their prior living situation can be dramatic. Parents caring for special needs children can find themselves in a tough situation. While their child needs care 24 hours a day 7 days a week, the parent also needs to provide for their families which requires them being away from their children. The result can be a family locked in poverty.

Thanks goes to the dedicated volunteers from Ebenezer Church in Georgia who worked with the Yugo foundation to built these homes for two families in need. Families trying to care for special needs kids really benefit from a stable and predictable home environment to have a shot at creating a nurturing environment for their kids. The loving hands that built these houses made a critical difference in helping these two families have hope and a foundation for future success.

Not far away a young couple hold their daughter Alexis in front of their new house. Alexis was born with Hydrocephalus and is receiving therapy from His Wings Ranch. Now the family lives close by in a home which provides a solid base so that they can work hard together with His Wings Ranch  to provide Alexis with the care she needs.

Another home was built for the benefit of Andres (in blue with blue hat) his mom Cleo, little sister Isabela (in pink) and father Alberto. Andres and Isabela attend the His Wings Ranch school program.

A Little Assistance Goes A Long Way

It can be shocking how little it can take to move a family into a positive and sustainable trajectory. A sack of rice and beans, a safe playground while mom works, a basic clean wooden structure can change an entire family’s future. His Wings Ranch does the heavy lifting
