His Wings Ranch

Making Great Progress For the Kids

Building Bridges

His Wings Ranch just got a whole bunch bigger thanks to Reyes Construction Inc.. They provided access across a creek to the West corner of the property. Equestrians can now ride outside of the corral into a horse only path away from the parking area. What has been a dream for years is now a reality!

The quality of the work is unparalleled in this part of Mexico. The team used huge timbers, iron brackets and professionally poured pads along with stout bolts and a fully stained substructure.

Why such a burly bridge? To hold up a 1,200 pound horses crossing it with riders on his back and trainers leading the way. The bridge finally allows equestrians  access to the safe and beautiful Western half of the property .

Jose Reyes (left) brought  more than 20 of his Reyes Construction Inc. skilled craftsmen as well as his superintendent Alex Lopez (right) to build the first rate bridge.

Not only is the Reyes’ crew proficient in bridge building but they are experts with concrete, able to construct this perfectly level foundation pad. How they do this over a hundred miles from their home in a different country is a miracle.

Everyone left their mark during the construction including the children at the ranch!

The pad created a perfect foundation for His Wings Ranch’s latest shade structure.

When they weren’t transforming the infrastructure at the ranch though building bridges and foundations, the volunteers with Reyes construction were sharing fun items for kids like crayons, play-dough and bubbles. It was an overwhelmingly heartwarming and unforgettable display of generosity and love.

Help Arrives For Parents

Dennise Lopez from Austismo en Movimiento offered the first workshop at the ranch on working with autistic kids. So many parents were blessed by her insights. Raising an autistic child is often a confusing and lonely experience for a parent. Bringing parents together to learn and share was a huge step forward.

Thanks to the infrastructure provided by Horizon Church, Serving Hands International, the estate of Emiliano Mazzarella and donors and volunteers His Wings Ranch can now offer these types of events including a lovely locally catered lunch.

Thank you Dennise. We look forward to your return for the next workshop!

Danny Makes A Friend

Sue’s son Danny visited the ranch from San Diego. He and Jaciel took the horses out for a spin to exercise Brooklyn, the newest and smallest addition to the His Wings Ranch horse family.
